Chill & Grill

Phase 4
Imagine Kuumba Art Park
Chill & Grill and Quiet Groves
Right by the Capitol Bridge, imagine a laid-back stop where the trail slows down. Settle in under the trees, fire up a grill, and enjoy the meadow, with the trail users rolling past and everything from the fitness and bike plaza just down the way. And this spot is looking ahead: Kuumba Art Park is a huge part of the work the City of Milwaukee and Milwaukee County are doing to extend the Beerline Trail north, linking us to even more of the neighborhood and beyond.
Chill, Grill, Keep Going
A few things we're hoping to bring near the Capitol Bridge

Picnic & Grills
Circular Benches
North Extension
Picnic tables and grills for cookouts, family hangouts, and long afternoons, with bike racks close by so riders can park, hang out, and fire up lunch.
Round seating that invites you to face each other, so a quick rest turns into a conversation, with plenty of room to spread out and soak up the shade or sun.
The City of Milwaukee and Milwaukee County are working to extend the Beerline Trail 1.8 miles northwest from Capitol Drive to the new 20th Street Powerline Trail. It would link neighborhoods across I-43 and Capitol Drive, and tie into the Route of the Badger, the growing trail network across Greater Milwaukee.
