Fresh from our neighbors, for our neighbors.
Imagine the 53212 Marketplace, home of the Community Farmers Market, as a lively, three-season hub right next to the Active Grove, with room for up to 50 vendor stalls. Farmers, growers, makers, and food entrepreneurs would fill the space with color, flavor, and good conversation. The plaza would also serve as an entertainment space, with music and entertainment to accompany time spent here. Thanks to Extra Space Storage for their generous donation of the land, we hope to repurpose the existing building on the property.
Why this matters: Good food and local business should be close to home. The 53212 Marketplace and Community Farmers Market would give growers and makers a place to thrive, and give neighbors a place to shop, connect, and celebrate what our community makes.

Three features we hope to bring to the 53212 Marketplace, Home of the Community Farmers Market
A Building Given New Life
An existing building on the property, which we hope to rehab rather than tear down, would become the marketplace's colorful home, with a mural, signage, and an arched roofline that give it plenty of character.
Seating & Shade
Covered picnic pavilions and plenty of tables would give shoppers a comfortable spot to rest, refuel, and enjoy the day, rain or shine.
Come Together
Long tables and open space would invite neighbors, vendors, and families to share a meal, swap stories, and make the market a true community hangout.
