Picture the corner of Keefe & Richards as a place to relax, linger, and meet up. We're imagining a welcoming plaza and playground tucked along the trail, with open meadow stretching out beside it and paths that connect you from the Active Grove all the way to the Connector Building. Come for the swings, stay for the picnic, and bump into a neighbor or two along the way.

The details we're hoping to bring to Keefe & Richards
Lighting
Imagine soft, welcoming lighting along the plaza and paths, a safety feature that keeps the space feeling comfortable for evening walks, after-work rides, and everything in between.
Pathways
Two trails, two ways to move. The existing asphalt trail is geared toward biking, rolling, and running, while the winding gravel trail is made for walking at an easier pace, and both continue throughout the park space.
Landscaping
How about native prairie plantings in the park, with wildflowers and grasses lining the paths and welcoming pollinators, birds, and butterflies. With a garden near the plaza and new trees that would round out the scene, all best enjoyed from the trail. The existing mound adds a little natural character to the great landscaping.
